What if you can't make progress on a particular branch of your family tree? Or maybe you need someone to do on-site research for you because it's too far for you to travel to do it yourself? Try posting a query -- a question or request for help.

Many Michigan genealogical societies publish queries in their newsletters. Queries also can be posted online at many Web sites for genealogical societies or the county-level Web sites of the MIGenWeb project. Queries also can be posted on message boards or lists. Some of these sites include:
